Funeral - Memorial - Scattering of Ashes ceremonies
You have probably found this page because you have recently lost someone. You may have been anticipating this moment or, it may have been a bolt from the blue. Loss is difficult under any circumstance and no one wants to find themselves here.
I hope you find this page useful, here you will find information about me and the services I offer as well as information about organisations you may find helpful at this time.
My name is Heather, I live in the town of Shepton Mallet, in the beautiful county of Somerset with my son and my cat.
My background is in hospitality and events, a job that brought with it a great love of people and their stories.
I hold the NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy, am a member of The Institute of Civil Funerals and have a clear DBS check.
I love to hear peoples stories, the adventures, the friendships and loves, even the day to day. People are fascinating and I believe those stories should be told. I also believe that everyone deserves a dignified and thoughtful farewell, whoever they are and whatever their life circumstances.
Grief is often difficult and sometimes complex, remembering your loved one, the time you spent, the memories you have and the love you shared is an important part of the grieving process. Writing and delivering a service that helps with that process is important to me. I cannot think of a more honourable thing to do, than to tell the stories of the people you have loved and support you during this time.
I will meet and talk with you to get to know the story of your loved one. This meeting will normally take around two to three hours and during that time I will take notes. If you feel comfortable with me doing so, I will use a dictaphone, which will allow me to check any details that I may have missed. It may be that you have ideas about what kind of service you want, you may have no idea at all, either way I will work with you to create a service that is right for you and is a fitting tribute to your loved one.
